The Video Game Preservation Museum (VGPM) is a non-profit initiative dedicated to rescuing, documenting and sharing video games, hardware and related history that might otherwise be lost. By archiving physical objects and rare prototypes, the organisation highlights the cultural value of gaming heritage and preserves it for future generations.
VGPM’s original site lacked clarity, structure and visual cohesion — making it difficult for visitors to understand the mission, explore the archive, or engage with the content meaningfully. Without a clear narrative or presentation strategy, key collections and stories were buried behind inconsistent layouts, and the overall experience didn’t reflect the passion or cultural significance of the project.
Alongside the website, VGPM also needed printed marketing material that would help communicate the museum’s purpose at events and to potential supporters.

We designed a refreshed, audience-focused website in Figma that brings VGPM’s mission to the forefront and makes the archive inviting and navigable. The new site structure highlights key collections and items, with clearer pathways for exploration and engagement. The visual design was tailored to celebrate video game history while remaining intuitive for first-time visitors.
Once the design was complete, I passed the final assets and specifications to Damian at VGPM, who implemented the build. We also developed printed assets that support outreach and storytelling in physical settings, helping VGPM communicate its vision beyond the screen.
Thank you for the hard work on our new site Callum! Couldn't have done this without your talent and design skills.
